I am SO excited to post the reveal. I have showed bits and peices but, it's the overall look of the room that I am in love with....it's better than I could have imagined. Let's take a look inside..............
The colors and patterns all mesh together so well and it makes me happy walking into the room.
This is the view once you step into the room....greeted with happy colors.
View of above the crib.
View from the bottom of my older daughter's bed.
The corner of the room showing the cherry blossom.
The memorabilia/heritage shelf.
The beautiful and fun modern mobile of lampshades and lanterns in a fun and bright pink color. Such a happy color!!
View of the closet and the "spread your wings and FLY" metal poster.
The dresser that my older daughter helped me stripe(this was the first project that my older daughter and I painted together...I let her choose the stripes widths and then we painted them in....good memories...my daughter still talks about how we did this together). This was her dresser before we painted the aqua blue dresser for her with the distressed silver stencil across the front. She is happily giving up her little dresser for the baby and all the baby clothes.
Yes, I know the picture frame is empty but, the baby needs to have places for her photos too.
The reading nook.
My daughter made sure that her cuddly teddy bear was there for the picture. Too cute!
The other picture frame is an old window with tons of small window panes filled with fun paper behind glass and photos of my older daughter. I love that I left spots open for the new baby girl coming (spots were left on purpose and now a few more of them will be filled with little girl pictures).
What is funny to me is that when I originally started this room I was going for a modern pink/brown with a splash of aqua and it ended up morphing into the pink on pink with a splash of aqua. The brown is still in the room with the cherry blossom branch and in other small touches around the room.
The fun aqua dresser with the silver distressed stencil across the front.
My daughter's bed and corner with her aqua dresser.
The crib with the beautiful bedding set.
The crib view looking over to the reading nook.
The custom paint treatment around the artwork is definetely one of my favorite parts of the room. It's unique and yet creates an element of style that carries throughout the room.
Looking into the room from the corner of the closet.
I love how the room turned out!! Considering that the room was started at 32 weeks....I think it turned out SO great!! The seamstress(for the crib bedding), my friend Katie(paint pro) and my awesome hubby all helped to make it happen. I really appreciate everyone helping!!
Looking into this room, it is just a happy, fun place to be and for little girl's to have pleasant dreams!!
The Nursery/Big Girl's Room turned out better than I could even imagine! The light pink/hot pink with a splash of aqua was the perfect color combination for this room. It's happy and fun and I am thrilled with how it turned out!! Yeah....it's done and the baby is due tomorrow!! We're ready for your arrival (hopefully :) are you ever REALLY ready)!! Well, the room is ready for your arrival!!
