Jacobs Angel Stocking

So, I am keeping my Christmas Promise and showing what was the perfect addition to my striped wall for the holiday season. A white stocking to represent our son, Jacob that passed away. The last two years I have used one of the families red stocking that matched all the others and attached an angel ornament. Now that our new little girl will need a stocking of her own and wanted them to all still match, I needed to find Jacob his own special stocking that would always be his and we could hang each holiday season.

It looks beautiful with the chalkboard and was such a pretty addition to the striped wall.

Even though, I don’t believe that people sprout wings when they pass or fly around with wings, angel wings is the symbol of something pure and innocent. Jacob is our little Angel and I wanted to represent that.

Just a simple addition of some ribbon, greenery and sparkle, it is complete.

The stocking is crochet and adds a beautiful texture to the little vignette. It’s a classic texture.

So I kept my Christmas promise (like my kids would say) and am so happy that we could represent our son. It makes me smile each time I see it (and sad sometimes) but, am happy that I could find the perfect stocking for Jacob and it’s hung in it’s own special place.
